Roger Pomerleau, Business Development Manager, VISTA Training Canada
Roger began his career as an apprentice welder in the northern Alberta Oilsands mines. In his thirty-five years in the mining industry, he has worked in both external and internal consulting roles with expertise ranging from standardizing processes and best practices to performance coaching and learning in support of the growth and development of operator competency. Roger is most fulfilled when helping people grow professionally and helping to influence the culture of an organization. Roger is a Certified Training Development Professional (CTDP) through the Institute for Performance and Learning, and he was the project lead for a training program that received the mining industry’s first GOLD award in the category of blended learning from the Canadian Society for Training and Development. Roger Pomerleau is currently with VISTA Training Canada where he has the privilege to work closely with mines across the country to understand their technical enablement challenges, develop detailed training plans, and help implement structured training programs.
