Dr. Antonio Karzulovic counts on his record with more than 25 years experience as a Geotechnical Engineer. He is a civil engineer from the University of Chile, with a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. on geotechnical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He has been involved in studies and projects related mainly to open pit and underground mining, including the analysis and design of large rock slopes.
He was co-Chairman of the MassMin 2004 Conference, held at Santiago, Chile, and has published several papers on rock slope engineering.
He also has been involved in the teaching of rock mechanics in Chile, and currently he is the President of the Chilean Group of the International Society for Rock Mechanics.
